Greetings gang,
I know it’s been a while, but things don’t seem to happen as quickly here. I still don’t have much of a social life and the sites are limited in this area.
Last Friday was the Crystal Ball. It was pretty small with only an estimated 50 students. That comes out to a cost of about $100 a head. Professor Eigen and Dean Moreno were sneaking drinks in the back. Eigen got rather tipsy! Chad and I went with all the First-Year girls. I didn’t really have anyone to gossip with. We did all dance together, so at least that was mostly the same. There’s even a cheesy prom pose for DB. After the Ball a couple of over 21s ended up at Iron Hill for beer and nachos. It was quite nice!
Saturday, Chad and I drove up to Williamsport to have dinner with his family for Afton’s birthday. We had hibachi and I went o Wegman’s for the first time in my life. IT WAS MAGICAL! I particularly enjoyed the international foods section and the sneaky (but completely legal) beer section.
Later that night, Maya and I went to the Phi Psi Blacklight party and used the provided highlighters to draw glowing biology diagrams all over the walls. We also corrected some “mistakes” left by others.
Sunday, my grandparents came up for lunch and wanted to take my new HA partner with us . . . “just like we did with Danielle”. We ended up at Rachel’s and had quite the long wait, but it gave me plenty of time to talk about Guatemala.
*REMINDER* Friday (February 5th) is World Nutella Day. Be prepared to celebrate accordingly.
Later that day, Kim Worcester came up to spend the night. She had some things to take care of on campus before she leaves for Australia next week. It was nice to see her and have another girl to talk too.
Tuesday, after Kim had left, I was received an email from College Row saying I had to rush right over to sign my lease. Two hours later Kim and I had our own apartment and need to pull two others in to secure it. We’re tentatively scheduled to be in 1408 . . . I’m a tad creeped out (we may ban that movie.)
Not much fun scheduled this coming week, just Maya’s 21st. I also need to get my application to apply to medschool in by Monday, finish my Marshall Project, keep in touch with all of you, and keep up with regular homework and projects.
Love from Lancaster~
